Born in Pennsylvania in l946, his early childhood activities included exposure to the violin and oil painting. It was during his violin lessons that he found his first painting teacher, his violin teacher’s spouse. The memories of the scent of oil mediums have never left Eric's mind and heart. Eric's father made sure that he was well rounded in education, music and art. Eric later went on to earn a degree in Chemistry from Rutgers University and a Pharmacy degree from Temple University.

Eric studied drawing and painting throughout his life, from the first instructor in the home of his violin teacher, to the Philadelphia Art College evening classes.  Later in life he studied with master artist(s) David Leffel and Ted Seth Jacobs. He had the opportunity to live in France and study under the teachings of Mr. Jacobs for six years. Ted opened Eric's eyes to the secrets of the great masters, which gave him the ability to see the world through the eyes of an artist. During Eric's 27 years in the United States Air Force, he managed to continue his art studies and his exposure to the most prominent museums in the US and Europe. This forged a discipline in him to study and learn from all that he experienced, including teaching classical painting and drawing in the U.S. and Europe.

He makes his home in the great state of Oklahoma. His goals include spending as much time as possible painting the things that he finds beautiful and interesting to others.
